i FALL MEETING AT AQUEDUCT. Qucpns County Jockey Club Granted Permission to Race from September 17 to October 6. By J. L. Dempscy. Saratoga, N. Y., August 4. The following was handed to the press during the afternoon by Secretary Algernon Daingerfied of the Jockey Club: "Proceedings of a meeting of the stewards of the the Jockey Club, held at the clubhouse of the Saratoga Racing Association, Saturday, August 4, 1917: Present. Mr. August Belmont, Mr. H. K. Knapp, Mr. F. R. Hitchcock, Mr. Andrew Miller, Mr. Schuyler L. - Parsons and Mr. John Sanford. The chairman. Mr. August Belmont, presided. On motion, duly seconded, the approval o the stewards of the Jockey Club was granted the Queens County Jockey Club to conduct a race meeting at Aqueduct, Long Island, N. Y., from Monday, Sep- tember 17 to Saturday, September 29, both inclusive. On motion, duly seconded, the meeting adjourned." I At a re-convenod meeting of the Jockey Club, Sermisslou was granted the Queens County Jockey lub to continue the racing until October 6. I Thft failure of the other New York aswelatlons to receive dates, is said to be because all the asso- ciations agreed to pool their interests, thereby avoiding conflicts and solving a ticklish problem.
