PREPARING STEADILY FOR ST. LOUIS RACING. St. Louis, Mo., August S. Judge Hiram Moore was today retained as counsel, by Joseph A. Murphy for the race meeting which opens here August 29. Jiulge Moore was not only, on the. bench here, but was in the circuit attorneys office and has a comprehensive knowledge of the racing laws of the tfL state, He will go over all decisions and define W; the law for the management. It is admitted by all that an individual credit bet is strictly within the law and it is thought that the racing crowd will adapt themselves to conditions, a.s they have in ew lork. The admission price was set at .50, for men and for women and the free list will be absolutely suspended. John Carey has been rounding up all the stalls in the vicinity of the, grounds.
