I j 1 1 KEMPTON PARK MEETING POSTPONED. Montreal, Que., August 11. The opening of the thirty-day meeting at the Kempton Park, Laprairie course, scheduled for today, has been postponed for a week. The torrential rains of the last few nights and today have left the Laprairie course In a condition from which it will not recover for several days. Manager Sam Holman decided itwouldbe preposterous to ask horses to run in going of this kind, and that a postponement for..,a week would probably find the track in far bettfcr0conditlon. The opening date was therefore sef badk.to August 18.
