AVon easily; second and third driving. PULLUX, after racing in nearest pursuit of the leaders, took the lead in the homestretch and won with speed in reserve. STARFINCH set the- pace fast and displayed excellent speed, but tired -when challenged. TIE PIN saved ground on the stretch turn after closing a big gap and finished with a rush. GIPSEY GEORGE was under stout restraint in the early running, but came extremely wide on the stretch tnrn and was poorly ridden in the final drive. HARRY SHAAV gained steadily under punishment and finished fast. SASIN closed a big gap. HOME SWEET HOME showed speed for a half. BETWEEN US was in close quarters for the entire way and, being repeatedly interfered with, was eased up. at the end. The winner, entered for ,000, was bid up to ,705 and bought in. AVELDSniP fenced well, displayed excellent-speed under restraint, took the lead in the last half " when called on and held BET safe in the final drive. BET closed up menacingly in the last quarter, but could never get to the leader. SUN KING was a forward contender and ran well for a mile and a half, but was interfered with at the fifteenth jump and could never recover. PEHETO made a bad landing at the eleventh jump, then gained steadily and was a prominent factor when he fell at the fifteenth. TETAN showed the most speed until losing his rider at the fifteenth. ROSIE .OGRADY set a fast early pace, but tired and gave way when challenged.- PAPP began badly, but raced next to the rail all the way and finished fast and gamely under punishment. DRASTIC, away slowly and forced to race wide, closed a big gap. NUTCRACKER was a forward contender in the early running, but was interfered with on the stretch turn and tired. ENFILADE ran well. HENDRIE was under pressure through the last" half mile, but could never get to the leaders. HANK ODAY ran a bad nice and was never prominent.
