CHEYENNE RACING PLEASES ITS PEOPLE Broomscdge the Victor in Yesterdays Principal Race Visitors from All Over the Coast. Cheyenne, Wyo., August 22. The patronage is increasing here and the people of Cheyenne are ! fast becoming racing enthusiasts. The crowd today i was a large one. The weather conditions here are quite unsettled today. There was a disagreeable high wind blowing all the afternoon across the big plains, "where the track is situated, giving it a full, open sweep. But it did not dampen the ardor of those who came out to enjoy the sport. Each day sees familiar faces from Denver, Reno and San Francisco". Mr. Dahnken is a big owner in the largest moving picture houses on the Pacific coast. He has quite a useful string of horses here in charge of trainer E. Dealy. They will remain for the meeting. Jockey T. Xolan arrived from the East and will be seen in the saddle shortly. Broomsedge won the feature race on the card at one mile, taking tlie lead from the rise of the barrier, and was never headed, winning with the utmost ease. Say, one of the most consistent little horses racing in the West, was no match for the winner.
