ERICKS0N SMALLEST JOCKEY IN WORLD Riding at the Maisonneuve race meeting at Montreal is a jockey who is said to be the smallest iu the world. The youngster is II. Erickson, and his weight is seventy-five pounds. He is under contract to Gene Lntz. well known around the independent circuits, " and Lutz says he is the tiniest of all the midgets who pilot thoroughbred horses. Erickson has all the earmarks of a coming rider. He scored his first victory of the meeting in the closing race Monday, when he piloted Evelina, down in front of about the best band of the day. Erickson showed good judgment throughout,, , and despite his lack of poundage, urged the mare aloiig in the stretch to a stout finish to withstand the rush of River King. Erickson rode a few races on the Canadian circuit this summer, but was hardly experienced enough for the high-class company he met here.
