D. RAYMOND DISPOSING OF HIS HORSES Montreal, Que., August 31. Malamont, the seven-year-old son of Flying Fox Mademoiselle de Long-champs, owned by D. Raymond, the well-known local breeder and owner of thoroughbreds, has been sent to Kentucky. This horse has had rather a checkered career. He was purchased by his owner when a two-year-old and not raced until his three-year-old season. He was started in a race at Ottawa and won, being the medium of a coup. He fell lame in a trial after that race and was retired to the stud, some of his get having raced this year. He was picked up this summer and put in training and started at Windsor, just previous to the closing of racing in Canada. He was in front nearing the finish when he fell lame for the second time and finished among the also runs. Mr. Raymond is rapidly disposing of his horses. He has sent several of them to Kentucky, where they will be disposed of, while it is now likely that Maiamont, one of the two of the get of his famous sire in America, will also he sold. James Umlcn, who has trained he Raymond horses for some time, is leaving Canada within a short time and will take tip training in the United States. He is already negotiating with one wcll-kiiowu owner.
