At a meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club held yesterday, the secretary presented the appeal of Capt. E. B. Cassatt from the ruling of the stewards of the summer meeting of the Saratoga Association in refusing to allow his claim for the horse "Adoration II.," sucli claim having been made after the first race of August 28, 1917. On motion duly seconded, the ruling of the stewards of the summer meeting of the Saratoga Association in refusing to allow the claim of Capt. E. B. Cassatt for the horse "Adoration II." was reversed, and the horse "Adoration II." was awarded to Capt. E. B. Cassatt. The approval of the stewards of the Jockey Club was granted the United Hunts Racing Association to conduct a race meeting at Belmont Park Terminal on October 13. The approval of the stewards of the Jockey Club was granted the Piping Rock Racing Association to conduct a race meeting at Locust Valley on October 0 and 10. The application of Thomas McTaggart to be restored to good standing was denied. The application of O. Romanelli for a jockey license was granted. The application of Fred Schelke for a trainers license was granted, subject to his securing a contract witli some owner in good standing. , Trainer Nash Turner was fined 00 for violation of Rule 215, in employing an exercise boy under contract to James Fitzsimntons, such boy not having been released by James Fitzsimmons. The application of W. T. Anderson for a trainers license was denied. The applications of J. Dominick and R. Pickett for jockeys licenses were laid on the table.
