GOOD HORSES WHICH RACED WELL FOR THOMAS C. McDOWELL I IN THE PRESENT YEARS CAMPAIGN A 1 Last year the horses composing the stable of Thomas C. McDowell won a total of 0,409. This year "the corresponding return was 0,288. It follows that the master of Ashland had little to complain of in viewing comparative results. His chief money winner, the Heet two-year-old filly, Olive Wood, is of his own breeding and a guarantee of the promise of his favorite young sire, The Manager. Second to her was the more than useful handicap horse, Manager AVaite, and then came another good daughter of The Manager in the excellent till-, Ilum. It long has been a matter of note that owner McDowells line of luck runs in the possession of fillies and mares of more than average excellence and these two seem destined to uphold the tradition.
