AUSTRAL began slowly and was far back for the first three-qighths, but came with a rush when called on and wore HASTY MABEL down in the last eighth to wingoing away. HASTY MABEL showed much speed, but tired in the stretch after racing into, the lead. SHAN-DON ran well and closed a considerable gap in the last quarter. SILAEY SHAPIRO showed a good order of speed and, racing into he lead, only tired in the last eighth. MEELICKA was forced back in the first quarter and had to come wide into the stretch, but came fast at the end witlt a belated rush. OLORINE closed a big gap.
