The Spring Juvenile will have an added money v.lii- of ,500. Xo entrance money is levied, but tlere will be a starting fee of S50 for each youngster facia* the barrier. The distance will be four :md a half furlongs. The other juvenile soecials of the Iinilieo meeting will 1m- the Pimlico Nursery. a ,500 added money race at four and a half Tur-loiig*. in which a starting fee of 5 will be charged and the Piping Rock Aspirant Plate, a sprint of f i vc- ightlm. for a piece of pUte of the value of M, which will be contributed bv the Marvlaud Jockey Club. This is a race that was transferred to the Maryland Jo-key Club by the Piping Rock Association. There will be no meeting at Piping Rock this spline. tMcauxe of the active participation in the great war of so many of the sportsmen of the Piping Rock Association. Ross named three foreign -bred colts by Sunstar. Royal Realm and Llangibby along with Prince Easy, a sou of Prince Ahmed — Righteasy. and Jack Cunard. an attractive bay by Canard— JacqueUua. both of which were foaled at Mr. Ross Yarrow Brae Stud in Howard County. Maryland. Wilfrid Viau. owner of Omar Khayyam and Westy II. gan. has named the biggest two-year-old in training iu The Tank, son of Fowling-piece Algonquin, which he bought privately for 1,500 in New York last winter. The Tank was brought to this country by W. S. Heather, an English breeder. Mr. Viau has another prepossessing colt on the eligible list in Pibroch, bay son of Macdonald II. — Melody. This fellow was bred in France. The Wanderer, son of Vulcain — Rosetree II., one of the two yearlings of 1917 to fetch 0,000 at public auction, is one of the nominations of James W. McClelland. The Wanderer is preparing for the Spriug Juvenile at Havre de Grace, where he will have a race or so before lie comes this way. Frederick Johnsons nominations are mostly" sons and daughters of the promising but untried stallion Cock o* the Walk, a son of Peep oDay, which raced with credit in Maryland a few years back.
