4- _ j, WHAT PKISCILLA MULLENS AND HER MATES EFFECTED IN LAST YEARS RACING FOR J. K. L. ROSS 4 _ 4 The horses composing the stable of J. K. L. Ross, especially the lilly. Priscilla Mullens, raced ser-viceably last year and. in winning twenty-two races, averaged a fraction over ,000 to each race won J his stable has been greatly reinforced since the close of the racing of 1917 and. unless bad luck intervenes, should figure importantly in the racing of the present vear. Priscilla Mullens, a speedy and especially game tilly. was by far the best winner in the stable and. if all goes well with her. proiml.lv will rank well in the middleweight division of the handicap class in this years racing. With H. G Bedwell in charge she certainly will not lack for efficient training. Miss Brvn raced successfully iu ■ Wilv but was no more than fairly useful. Damrosch has always been a peculiar horse, in that some of his winning races have been suisrior to his average form. Isually a horse that wins one occasional high-class race and succumbs on other occasions to selling platers, is a delicate feeder and hard to keep fit. Damrosch may be of that tyi e.
