1 1 ENCOURAGING PROSPECTS AT RENO At Least 300 Horses Expected for Meeting to Begin June 15 — Special Features Planned. Reno. New. April :M. -Ptosis its for the coming race n ting here an- encouraging. The meeting Is scheduled to slart June 13, and will run for nineteen days. Alreadv stabling has been engaged for over 154 horses, and letters are being received from all sections of the country, asking for information as to the meeting. From the present outlook there will bo at least 300 horses stabled at the track when racing commences. Then- are quite a number of horses stabled at the track and they are doing easy work necessary to loiind them into condition for the opening day of the meeting. The association is planning a number of big features for the meeting. The Nevada Futiiritv. for California and Nevadan two-year-olds, will in all probability be run on July 4. Another feature lieing discussed is a Native Sons Handicap, to lie run during the visit of the Native Sons of the Golden West to Truckee for the pur-|H se of unveiling the Doliner monument. A apectel R-d Cross day prqbably will be held during the meeting, al which a special feature .vein will be run and a percentage of the gate receipts turned over tu the Red Cross. Purses and other details wili be announced in the near future. Gitirgo W. Rcrry. superintendent of the Nevada Stock Farm, reports the safe arrival recently of three fine foals, as follows: April 12 — Hlack filly by Honeywood — Whims, by Og.l-n Caprice, by Hamburg.
