SQlEELER. away forwardly and given an energetic ride, showed the most speed from the start, but had to be ridden hard through the last eighth to outstay DIMITRI. The latter raced in closest pursuit and was gaining at the end. KINNEY was outrun early, but saved much ground when coming into the stretch and finished fastest of all. The others were always outrun. HENRY ROBERTS was outpaced in the early running, but saved much ground when coming into the stretch and. standing a hard drive gamely, drew out in the last eighth to win going away. JOE STAHR suffered from interference by MACK GARNER in the stretch, but finished fast and gamely. MACK GARNER showed the most speed, but swerved badly in the stretch and impeded JOE STAHR. TZE-LSI. also helped by the going, raced into the lead on the last turn and onlv gave way right at the end. GREEN GRASS, probably best, was taken all over the track :ud finished with a rush. Won driving: second and third the same DIVERSION, probably best, suffered when cut off in tlie first quarter and was forced to go around on the outside, but finished fast and got up level with DIAMOND in-the last stride. DIAMOND also suffered from some early interference, but raced into the lend in the stretch and held on gamely in the final drive. ARDENT ran a good race and finished fast. NDIO quit badly in the stretch after set- ting a good pace PRECIOIS was knocked back in the first quarter and finished well.
