King Goriu worked a mile and a quarter in 2:04U at Douglas Park yesterday morning in preparation for his engagement in the Kentucky Handicap Saturday. John Sanfords George Smith is training at Jamaica in a manlier pleasing to his trainer and suggesting that he will be in prime condition for his next engagement. George- M. Hendries Rancher is announced as a sure starter in the Kentucky Handicap. George Morgan, former partner of Jack China, died iu Cincinnati Tuesday. A quarter of a century ago the colors of Chinn and Morgan were prominent on all the big tracks of the country.
