INCREASE THE VALUE OF YEARLINGS Announcement of Rescinding of TwoYear Old Rule Has Healthy Effect on Sales Market Lexington Ky August 17 Breeders who have returned from Sanitoga since Major August Bel moats announcement that at the next meeting of he Jockey Club the rule prohibiting the racing of twoyearolds l efore April 1 will be rescinded say that the effect has been to immediately increase the market value of thoroughbred yearlings They are of the opinion that had the announcement been made 01 August 1 the aggregate of the sales at Saratoga this year would have been possibly twenty IHT cent higher There were no competitors for the yearlings less than firstclass sold at the Spa In SpaIn announcing this afternoon that the dates for the sale of yearlings to be held here will IK Sep ¬ tember 17 18 and 19 Secretary Ken Walker of the Kentucky Sales Company said The action of the Jockey Club means much more to the breeders of thoroughbreds and the horsemen who make a prac ¬ tice of racing at the southern tracks during the win ¬ ter months than can be pictured in an article on the subject and we in Kentucky are all thankful for it
