SAVE ON SUGAR THAT MEANS YOU The people of the United States in wheat saving have shown what a democracy can do For several months the household consumption of wheat has been less than fifty per cent of normal while in the immediate past the whole country has been content to do with only about thirtyfive or forty percent of normal wheat requirements The re ¬ sult has been that we were able to export 141000 000 bushels of wheat much of it as flour that otherwise In the face of a short harvest we would not have l een able to send overseas This wheat was the salvation of the allies and each individual who heli ed to attain this result may have in some degree the same consciousness of duty well done and of actual achievement as have the soldiers in the trenches trenchesWhat What has been done with wheat can be done with sugar It is up to the individual American
