MGR HACHMEISTER IS NONCOMMITTAL Cincinnati 0 Octolnr 23 Mr Ilachmeister in announcing that the Latouia meeting would not begin on Thursday said that he considered it best not to attempt to set a date when it was hoped to proceed with the racing as had been done when the opening was previously postponed only t have the racing people disappointed by inability to carry out the plans tentatively made madeWhile While Mr Ilachmeister was noncommittal as to the prospects for an early opening of the meeting and said that he did not care to be quoted at this time as to what the racing folk might count upon it is understood that he is sanguine that things will so shape themselves in the immediate future that it will be possible to proceed with the meeting before many more days have elapsed But no definite an ¬ nouncement will 1 made until it is assured that any plans which may be made can be carried into effect without the necessity for further postpone ¬ ment
