KING PLAUDIT HIGH PRICED YEARLING King Plaudit the Brookside Stibls twoyearold which won both races in which he started at Bowie was one of the high priced yearlings of last year selling at auction for 7000 Early in the present vear he was considered one of the mot promising of our young racers but met with some mishap after making a poor showing iu the only two races in which he started and was thrown out of training until this fall His ISowie performances suggest that lie has recovered entirely and may yet fulfill the high hopes entertained of him it is an old turf saying that twoyearolds that race well in the fall of the year do well as threeyearolds the following year On the line of this argument it will be interesting to note how King Plaudit sliai es up next year
