MARION GOOSBYS GOOD RACING RECORD The death of Mar ccllent race horse He especially distinguished himself at the New Orleans meeting of 1915 by j winning in succession the Merchants Handicap of the net value of 27155 and the New Orleans Hotel Mens Association Handicap of the net value of 3350 These were the principal races of the meeting and a peculiar feature of their running was that in each case Marion Goosbys post price was 10 to 1 and in each race Skeer Face finished second and Pan Xareta third He was at his best in the following year when he was unplaced in but four of his twentysix races and won the respectable aggregate of SllOlnS his leading item this year being the Iitoiiia Autumn Inaugural Handicap in which he defeated such good horses as King Goriu Sands of Pleasure Hodge Guy Fortune and Fruit Cake and won 3375 His record in racing was Marion Goosby br gr 1912 by Marathon Pheenie Fickle Year Age Sts 1st 2d 3d Unp Won 1014 2 1 3 525 1015 3 12 4 2721 1010 4 17 1 0 7S 3 3K 1017 5 2 K 4 1l10fiS 101S 10 11 0 5 1517 Totals 5 72 20 10 10 23 23604
