American railroad ownership There is a strong feeling among Ameri ¬ can bankers that the arm of the government must in some way be put around the railroads if they are going to be able to finance themselves on satis ¬ factory terms in the future John J Mitchell of Chicago thinks there should be a board of control in Washington and recommends that the railroads be handled in a way similar to
