MONTMARTINS DOUBLE EVENT PARIS France November 22 Sincere congratu ¬ lations have been offered M J Prat on the addi ¬ tional victory of his colt Montmartin which has won over the Grand Prix distance of a mile and seven eighths Thus lie confirmed his previous form al ¬ though lie had an extra distance to accomplish and to meet Gaba Tcpe a smart filly wbicli jumped off at the fall of the flag and seemed at one point of the race to have the event well won There was a smart struggle between her and Montmartin before he could get on terms with the filly and though the verdict of the judge was a half length between first and second Montmartin won with comparative ease He was delivered prime condi ¬ tion at the iwst by Arthur Watkins and the American jockey Milton Henry rode him home with tact and judgment over a course which had been rendered holding through the rain He is un ¬ doubtedly a good horse He has won the double vent the War Derby and Grand Prix though the aces were run over the track at MaisonsLaf f itte itteI instead of Chantilly and Longchamps Montmurtinst I dam is Musa dam Palm flower by Martagon the winner of the English Oaks iu ISUX
