THOROUGHBREDS FOR EGYPTS ARMY ARMYA A London exchange states that a little while back a consignment of thirtysix young thoroughbreds was shipped to Egypt by the International Horse Agency and all but three arrived safely Among those shipped was Golden Grass for which 5000 had boon asked but which subsequently came under the hammer and was bought for 300 The way the consignment was dealt with was by each subscriber pooling 750 and 011 arrival they were balloted for The man who drew Golden Grass was Immediately offered 5000 for him AH these thoroughbreds after their racing careers end will be the nucleus of a horse breeding establishment for the provision of remounts for the Egyptian army
