INCREASE IN AQUEDUCT STAKE VALUES NEW YORK, .N. Y., January 10 The Queens County Jockey Club has increased quite u number of stakes to be decided at Aqueduct the coming season from 00 to ,000 over last years offerings. Clarence II. Mackay will race horses in his own colors witli the nom de course Haras de Fres-nay Stable this year. Charles F. Hill will , have charge of the stable. James Murphy, who trains for Charles Stoneham, has just recovered from a severe attack of Influenza. Mr. Stoneham Is one of the recent purchasers and the new president of the New York Baseball Club and owns the Casco Stable. The principal changes made in the scale of weights in the Jockey Club rules apply chiefly to the two-year-olds in all aged races during the months of September, October, November and December. They will now carry from five to ten pounds more than formerly.
