The Legislature of Nebraska at 10:32 a. ,m.. ratified the national dry amendment and completed the necessary quota of thirty-six states to make certain nation-wide .prohibition. Following closely on the heels of Nebraska, the Legislatures of Missouri and AVyoniing. ratified the amendment, making thirty-eight states hi all to declare against the Uiitor traffic; The amendment to the feMer.il constitution prohibiting tliY- manufacture and sale nf intoxicating beverages becomes effective one year after t - date of. its final ratification. .Meanwhile the nation goes "dry July 1 by presidential proclamation, as a Avar measure, unless the President rescinds it before that date.
