NEW FRENCH JOCKEY CLUB STEWARDS The following have been elected stewards of the French Jockey Club for what promises to be the important season of 1919: The Count de Quincey, M. Jean Prat and Count Septime de Dampierre. Tile Count de Quincey previously held office from 1912 to 1915, when he temporarily resigned to enter the service. M. Prat had been steward from 190G to 1910, and during the war he has helped to sustain interest in breeding matters and in the races of selection which have been so valuable. During the period that the Marquis de Ganay and the Count de Quincey were in the army M. Prat and the late Baron Gour-gaud and Count Paul de Pourtales, and later with the Viscount dHareourt did much invaluable work. Count Septime de Dampierre has, served brilliantly as a colonel in the French army during the war. Viscount dHareourt and the Marquis de Ganay, the old stewards, will with Baron de Rrimont continue their valuable services as a subcommittee. Manchester Sporting Chronicle.
