TO CONSIDER ELIMINATION OF BLINKERS XEW ORLEAXS. La.. January 20. Writing to judge Joseph A. Murphy. Major August Belmont, chairman of the Jockey Club, stated that he would give much of his attention to racing affairs this year and that Mr. Murphys suggestion with reference to omitting blinkers on two-year-olds would be called to the attention of the stewards of the Jockey Club at their next meeting. Major Belmont was recently mustered out of the service.
