HASTY CORA set the pace from the start, but tired in the stretch drive. CLARICE RUTH raced well and finished gamely. RUTH STRICKLAND closed a gap. COUNTERBALANCE had no mishaps. EDITH L. was far back in the early running and was brought Wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast. LILLY B. ran a good half mile. JIFFY moved up resolutely just before reaching the stretch and was cut off momentarily, but finished fast when clear. BERLIN sprinted into the lead on the last turn, but tired in the stretch. SEAFARER quit suddenly after rounding into the stretch. LIBERTY STAR quit after being prominent for a half mile.
