JOCKEY LYKE REPORTS TO S. HILDRETH Recovers from Attack of Influenza Contracted in Now Orleans Praise for Robinson and Mooney. NEW YORK. N. Y, February 10. Lawrence Lyke, who will ride for Sam Hildreth this year, will report for duty, tomorrow morning, having entirely recovered from an attack of influenza contracted while in New Orleans. In speaking of the promising jockey C. Robinson, who is riding with such success at New Orleans, Lyke says: "He is a mighty good rider; surely the best apprentice shown this winter. He can wait with a horse and rides intelligently. I have watched him in races when we have been battling together, and found lilm a hard proposition to get away from. There is no question about his being a good jockey." In alluding to Mooney. another apprentice, Lyke also claimed he was better than the ordinary iplirentice, but hardly comparable to Robinson, though he also had the earmarks of becoming prominent with a little more experience. Lyke will ride at about 10.r pounds this coming summer when necessary, and will be under the care of Roger Miuton in regard to his engagements outside the Hildreth stable.
