CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Wilbur R. Smith, well-known in racing circles, was married here last night to Miss Mabel Gillam of Kansas City, Mo. Jockey Walls has left New Orleans for the east to take a much needed rest, as he was In bad form and kept getting worse. He bad plenty" of mounts, but won with only a few of them, and when lie did win lie was as a rule always on pounds the best horse. He is under contract to Edward Arlington, and his employer also felt that it was best for him to lay off for a while.
