ANNOUNCE LEXINGTON SPRING STAKES Kentucky Association to Distribute Over 0,000 During Its Thirteen Days Meeting. LEXINGTON, Ky., February 12. Garret D. Wilson, secretary of the Kentucky Association, has announced the stakes to be run here at the spring meeting from April 24 to May 8. comprising thirteen racing days, and 0,500 will be distributed in stakes and purses, no stake having au added value of less than ,000. Saturday, March 1, is the date set for the closing or the stake entries. The winner of each, stake race will receive besides the monetary value a cup donated by various Kentucky breeders. One new stake is added to the old list, the Blue Grass Stakes of ,500 added, for three-year-olds, the winner of this race to receive a cup donated by the Kentucky Association. The following is a list of the stakes, to close March 1: Blue Grass Stakes For three-year-olds, ,500 added; in addition the winner to receive a cup donated by the Kentucky Association; weights, colts 122 pounds, geldiugs 119 ounds, fillies 117 pounds; one and one-eighth miles. Ashland Oaks For three-year-old fillies, ,000 added; weight, 117 pounds; maidens allowed five pounds; in addition the winner to receive a cup donated by Maj. T. C. McDowell; one mile. Camden Handicap For three-year-olds and over, ,000 added; in addition the winner to receive a cup donated by Senator J. N. Camden; weights announced three days before the race; one and one-quarter miles. Ben Ali Handicap For three-year-olds and over, ,000 added; in addition the winner to receive a cup donated by L. L. Haggin; weights to be announced three days before the race; one and one-sixteenth miles. Idle Hour Stakes For two-year-old colts and geldings, ,000 addei: weight, 118 pounds; maidens allowed five pounds; in addition tiie winner to receive a cup donated by E. R. Bradley; four and one-half furlongs. Hinata Stakes For two-year-old fillies, ,000 added; weight. 115 pounds; maidens allowed five pounds; in addition the winner to receive a cup donated by Mrs. Clarence LeBns; four and one-half furlongs.
