IMPORTANT JOCKEY CLUB ACTION Proposed Amendment Excluding Geldings from Certain Big Races AdoIrtedi: NEW YORK. N. Y., February 13. XVthe regular mon Oily meeting of tlie Jockey Club! ;held today there were present: August Belmont., iEdward "B. Cassatt, Robert L. Gerry, H. K. Knapp, Andrew Miller. John Sanford, F. K. Sturgis and William Woodward. The amended scale of weights was unanimously adopted. The following amendment of Rule. 110 was adopted: "No gelding three, years old and upward slinll be qualified to start in any nice closing seventy-two hours .or more before the date of running, except handicaps and selling races. This rule" shall not apply to hocks ifelded prior to JCeruiiry 13f !U." At a meeting ofthe stewards- of the Jockey Club, held iit the office of , the club, there were present: August Belmont, F. K. Sturgis, H. K. Knapp. Andrew Miller and -John Sanford. The following race officials were appointed for .the year 1910: Starter Mars Cassidy. Hahdicapiier W. S. Vos-burgh. Secretary t6 the handicapper II. O. Vos-burgh. Placing judges E. C. Smith and C. II. Pottengill. Clerk of the scales U. U. Homan. Assistant to the clerk of scales Albert Burlen. .Patrol judges-J., L. Hull, E. H Hanna and James McLaughlin. Timer James D. Odoih. The approval of the stewards of the Jockey Club was, granted. tlieljnited .Hunts Racjng Association to cdnduct a race meetiilg at Belmont Park Terminal on .May 17 and May 21. The approval of the stewards of the Jockey Club was granted the Southern Maryland Racing Association of Bowie, Maryland, to conduct a race meeting April 1 to 15, .the Harford Agricultural and Breeders" Association of Hitvre de Grace "Maryland, from April It! to 30, and the Maryland Jockey Club from May 1 to 17. Jockeys mid. trainers licenses were granted as recommended by the license committee, aud. tlie application of John-Loftus, Lawrence Lyko and E. Forehand for jockey licenses were laid upon the table, not granted.
