f GOOD SERVICE RENDERED BY .FRANKLIN AND BONIFACE WHILE RACING IN THE COLORS OF J. S. WARD LAST YEAR I i : : - With increased earnings, over its ,621 of 1917 the stable of J. S. Ward did quite well for him iii 1918.. The chief money winner of the stable was the gelding Prankliu. a fairly good race horse when at1 his best, but probably somewhat difficult to. keep, in the best of racing condition. The Transvaal colt Boniface also raced well for him and is a fast colt, as lie demonstrated clearly when he defeated; such as Leocharcs, Kathleen, .Quietude, A. X. Akin, Viva America, Solly, Prince of Como and other speedy ones-in the Enquirer Handicap at three-quarters in l:12i at Latonia last June.
