J- . I BIG BAND OF THOROUGHBREDS WHICH RACED UNDER THE COLORS I OF J. 0. TALB0TT IN THE CAMPAIGN OF LAST YEAR A : Last year twenty-four horses raced under the colors of J. O. Talbott. Between them they won something more than 4,000; so, since they were mostly confined to racing for overnight purses, it is a fair presumption that the stable raced profitably. There was nothing of high class in the stable list, but several could race to good effect when at their best. Of these Kentucky Boy was the chief money reaper with six races and more than ,000 won. Next to him in money won was the Hamburg gelding Icarus, which was quite a speedy sprinter at "times, as he demonstrated conclusively at Laurel last fall by twice running three-quarters in 1:11 and defeating such swift ones as Bulse, Crank, Kathleen, Leochares, Itelie Roberts and Etruscan, also making a new track record for the distance. -The French-bred two-year-old Sylvauo took five races for the stable and should prove a useful three-year-old, one quite worth- following. Others which won ,000 or more and so paid their way were Kultur, Medusa, Say, Manoevrc, Saints Bridge and Scotch Kiss, hi all, the stable record for. 1918 was: Horse. Col. and Sex. A.
