I. A. K. MAC0MBER TO RACE IN FRANCE NEW YORK, N. Y.. February 17. That A. K. Mncomber contemplates racing in France is evidenced by Thomas Murphy, one of his trainers, sailing for France last Saturday. Murphv has gone there to look after Mr. Marombers French breeding establishment as well as taking over somiv horses the latter has leased from Mrs. Herman B. Duryea and which are eligible for French races. Mr. Mncomber will .shortly leave. for France to complete arrangements for a French campaign. Frank J. Nolan has returned his .stallion Sir John-Johnson to John E. Madden for the coming breeding season. Lnder Hie terms of the deal Madden -is to send twenty mares to the son of Isidor, and lie will be open to forty others. Mr. Nolan still has the stallion for sale should he find a buyer at his price. James Bodeu and Eugene Wayland are well advanced in their training operations at Gravcseiid. Both have been working their horses for the past week, contemplating an early start at Bowie.
