HELLO PARDNER showed the most speed, but tired near the end. LADY PATAU D finished fast after closing a big gap. FRANK W. had no mishaps. VAGARY refused to start with the others and was left. NELLE YORKE gained steadily from a slow start and was going well at the end. VISION was well up for the entire race. TANTALUS ran well. TOADSTOOL quit badly after going a half mile and setting the early pace. PADUA finished close lip. SABRETASH raced into the lead with a rush in the first quarter, bnt could not withstand the winner. MAUD BACON began slowly, but saved much ground on all the turns and finished fast and gamely.. PHANTOM MAID run well and passed UNDER FIRE In the stretch. UNDER FIRE tried to run out on the first turn and was all over the track, then, after taking the lead, tult badly iu the stretch.
