G. M. HENDRIE TO RACE BIG STABLE Popular Canadian Has Fifteen Horses to Start 1919 Campaign Preparing for Plato Race. TORONTO, Ont., March 12. George M. Hendrie, the Canadian owner whose Springside won the Kings Plate at Woodbine on May 24 of last year, will this year campaign one of the largest strings that ever sported his popular colors. At present he has fifteen, twelve of which are wintering at Louisville, while the other three are at the Valley Farm being prepared for the Plate by Eddie Wliyte. Mr. Hendrie is particularly strong on two-year-olds, as he has no fewer than eight at Louisville. Two of these include the first of the progeny of Great Britain, that wonderful racer -which was so popular with Canadian racing patrons some few years ago. In addition he has the seven-year-old Rancher, which was never better; the four-year-old North Sea, which cost 0,000 as a yearling, but which could not be conditioned enough to start last year. Then there is also the imported Prospector and the Canadian-bred Springside. Trainer Johnny Walters, who has been wintering in Cuba, will shortly take up the horses and put them in training. Eddie Whyte has Salvo and Somme at the Valley Farm, the former being by Charles Edward Shoo Fly, while Somme is also by Charles Edward. Mr. Hendrie has also a yearling at the Valley Farm by Charles Edward, from that good race mare Shiraonese. This colt has been named Shoulder Arms. The following is a list of the two-year-olds. Ablaze, b. f, by Tony Bonero Abrasion. Rolo, b. g, by Assagai Maxus. Claymore, b. g, by Assagai Gallaia. Destrover, b. g, by Assagai Dimity. Dr. Hickman, b. g, by Tony Bonero Lady McGce. Estcro, b. f, by Ivan the Terrible Foyer. Great Hawk. b. f, by Great Britain Hawksora. Great Scot, b. g, by Great Britain--FIora Basset.
