FAR WEST HORSES FOR MARYLAND Wing-field to Have Strong Stable at Early Meetings Whitney" Racers Well Advanced, BALTIMORE. Md., March 12. The stable of George Wingfield, which includes eight or ten voungsters by Honeywood, a son of Polymelus, which Mr. Wingfield imported a few years back for service at his Nevada Stock Farm, near Reno, will arrive in Maryland before the first of April. Thev will be in charge of Early Wright. Wright will take over from Richard F. Carman the four-vear-old Tom nolo when he reaches Havre de Grace. Tombolo wintered at Benning track with the Carman and Beach Stable horses, and he has matured into a handsome four-year-old. . The two-year-olds of the Whitney stable which wintered at Benning under the management of Albert Simons will race at Bowie through the first fortnight of April, and when they arrive at Havre de Grace they will join a division of the string James Howe is preparing to ship down from Brook-dale Farm in the course of the next three weeks. The threervear-blds Blue Laddie, Bayard and Vin-dex will have their first racing of the season at the Harford track, where Johren made his debut last spring. Mnnv of the horses that have wintered about New York at Belmont Park, Gravesend and Jamaica that will take part in the Maryland spring racing will make their start at Havre, de Grace. Tim runners that will provide sport for the populace at Bowie will be mostly horses that wintered in Marvland; Virginia and the District of Columbia.
