BETTER TRANSPORTATION FOR BOWIE BOWIEBALTIMORE BALTIMORE Md March 31 General manager James V OHaru has received the assurance of the officials of the Washington Baltimore An ¬ napolis Electric Railway that the transportation facilities will show marked improvement over that which Bowie patrons were compelled to sufter last fall Traffic relief has been gained by the de ¬ mobilization of many soldiers who were quartered at Camp Meade last year Their absence has en ¬ abled the trolley officials to divert ten new motor cars to the Bowie division which should materially speed the old schedule Arrangement has also been made to run a daily horsecarrying special from Benning to the Bowie gate Its operation will permit many who have wintered at Benning to send their horses for Bowie racing on occasions and save the expense of shipping the entire stables some of which include jumpers to the Prince George course for the short racing term
