FAIRLIE HEADS PROMISING FOAL TOROXTO Out May 28 Johnny Greenwood the local horseman who purchased Fairlie Head ut the Seagram sale had his wish gratified on Friday when that mare foaled a fine bay filly by Gala tine The owner is of the opinion that this nick will givo him one of the best brood mares in the coun ¬ try whenever she is retired for breeding Fairlie Head the iam is by Ayrshire the winner of the Kuglish Derby and had produced the fine mare Sea Wall and that good racer Galley Head which is a brother to the present foal Her owner has already selected Elizabeth Hermit as the name of the new foal Elizabeth being the granddaiu of Fairlie Head while Hermit was the sire of the dam of Gallinule the sire of Galatine Incidentally the name selected in just large enough to fill the top line of a newspaper heading whenever she wins a big race
