WAR ON A BELGIAN RACE COURSE At the Groenendael Belgium nice course May 0 there was a series of explosions of ammunition dumps left by the Germans Most of the trainers were out with their second lots when the first took place and several horses threw their lads and ran into the forest de la Soignes and have not yet been recovered The trainers got away with the other to Stockel several miles nearer Brussels and well out of the danger zone Ilcapy was the first to arrive with the horses belonging to Mrs Brug miinn and subsequently the trainers returned to Groenendael and removed every horse except those loose in tlm forest to a place of safety Two lads were wounded but there was no loss of life One of the first dumps to explode comprised 10000 gas Ixmibs and the damage done to the surrounding villages was great
