GREAT SUMS FROM ARMY HORSE SALES LONDON England June 2 Tho total sum re ¬ ported for sales of army horses and mules in all theaters of war now amounts to 5714509 Amount received during last week from animals sold for work is 955785 and sold for meat SI 182470 In the United Kingdom 91819 horses and 2805 mules have been sold since the armistice producing a total of 17 92580 an average of 18850 per horse and 11175 per mule Five hundred and twenty mules have been sold since last week to Portugal for 91000 at 175 per bead The director of remounts has now issued orders for the resump ¬ tion of sales of horses which was temporarily suspended at the end of April
