EARNINGS TO GO TNTO IMPROVEMENTS Manager Winn Elated Over Success of Kentucky Jockey Club Meeting and Talks of Future Plans LATONIA Ky July 5 General manager Matt J Wjnn is naturally highly plated over the results of the first merged meeting under his management and under the auspices of the Kentucky Jockey Club The different meetings at Lexington Louis ¬ ville and here have been of record patronage and alike immensely profitable to horsemen as well as to the Kentucky Jockey Club The purses at all the tracks have been in excess of former offerings and on the whole have approached the best offer ¬ ings in this country Those at Latonia have topped the list We are now awaiting the meeting of the Ken ¬ tucky Racing Commission said Mr Winn and when the fall dates are allotted will begin arrang ¬ ing plans to continue the successes of the spring meetings Our stakes and purses will be in con ¬ formity with conditions and these will be made known to horsemen at the earliest time possible It will always be the aim of the Kentucky Jockey Club to aet n harmony with the Racing Commission the same as now and the horsemen will always come in for a full share of consideration We are gratified on account of the publics appreciation of our efforts and much of the Kentucky Jockey Clubjs earnings for this season will revert back into improvements with a view to the publics comfort Architects will be consulted at once and what needed Improvements are necessary for next fall will be started at once but the general re ¬ building will not come until winter when there will be more time to put all the courses up to the standard of requirements
