KILMER REWARDS TRAINER AND RIDERS SARATOGA SPRINGS N Y August 11 Henry McDaniel who trained both Sun Briar and Exter ¬ minator for their brilliant performances Saturday is a sou of Col David McDaniel who won the Sara ¬ toga Cup four years in succession almost a half century ago with Harry Bassett Joe Daniels and Springbok James Howe the present trainer of H P Whitneys horses riding Bassett to victory over Longfellow in 1872 Mr McDauiel was showered with congratulations after Saturdays race In appreciation of their skill in contributing to his double victory Mr Kilmer presented 1000 to Mr McDaniel and 500 each to the jockeys Kiiupp and Loftuii Ti
