CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF Detectives from New York corralled a number of undesirable persons who are visiting Saratoga this is summer They were locked up for a while and d then ordered out of town immediately Sundridge the English fcirc which was sold to o French owners is to return to England and stand d at the Cohhaih Stud with a fee of 1000 and d twentyeight subscriptions In France Sundridges s fee was 2000 VJj VJjCharles jj Charles Maidment once famous as a jockey Is now a pauper in England and subscriptions to aid him are being taken in Maidment rode Cremorne in 1872 and KIsbor in 1876 when they won the Kpsom Derby On of the best of the older division of English riders as his father wan before him Otto Madden has given up riding and will train horses at Beach Hticst on the Bevy road near Newmarket He has recently bought the place
