PLENTY OF RACING IN GERMANY There seems to be plenty of money for racing in German for on Thursday July 17 eight races were run at BerlinGruenewald of the aggregate value of 37500 The chief race was the Heyden Linden Memorial Steeplechase 7500 run over three miles and a furlong for gentleman riders and it was won by a fiveyearold gelding Carls minde by Hannibal The Adonis Rennen 5500 one mile and a half fell to Here Haniels four yearold colt Einsiedler by Dark Ronald which with Janek up won easily from three others On the same afternoon there was a meeting at Bad Harzburg where the aged Well Now bred in Eng ¬ land by Prospector won a steeplechase while horses by Calveley and Dobert le Diable were aiming the other winners
