RICH STAKES AT HAVRE DE GRACE Three with 0,000 Added, to Each and One with ?5,000 Added Offered for Entries. The advertisement of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association on jthe last page of this issue gives testimony to the new departure which is to elevate Havre de Grace to prominence in the scheme of Maryland racing. The policy of giving a number of stake races of minor value has been abandoned in favor of a smaller number of such high value.; as to awaken desire in the minds of any and all owners for their capture. It will follow that they must inevitably attract the best horses of the year and give Havre de Grace racing a standing it has never heretofore possessed. Four rich races are offered for entries. Two of these the Harford Counfy Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at a mile and seventy yards, with $.".,000 added, and the Potomac Handicap, for three-year-olds, at a mile and a sixteenth, with 0,000, will close next Monday. September S. The Eastern Shore Stakes, for two-year-olds, at three-quarters of a mile, with 0,000 added, will closa for entries Tuesday September 10, and the Havre de Grace Handicap, for three-year-olds and over, at a mile and an eighth, with 0,000 added, is to close Monday, September Il. . Owners should keep these dates in mind and govern themselves accordingly. The Havre de Grace meeting will open September 11 and close September 30.
