FRANK WATERS followed the leader under slight restraint jn the early running, saved ground on the .stretch turn and drew clear when called on, but was under hard pressure at the end to withstand GLEIPNERS challenge. The latter gained steadily in the last quarter, but was tiring at the finish. WAWREEK. away foiwardly, raced APPLETON WISKE to defeat and held on gamely at the end. APPLETOX WISKE showed the most early speed, but was inclined to run out on the last turn and in the stretch. HOHOKUS tired. DR. RAE was crowded back at the start. GOBLIN held the race safe all the way, but lost considerable ground at the fences by jumping out. then drew away when challenged in the last eighth and won in a canter. BIFF BANG followed the leaders closely from the start and met with slight interference in the stretch, but responded gamely to punishment when clear and wore LARGIIETTO down in the closing strides. The latter set the early pate and took the lead again in the last eighth, but was tiring at the end. BRIGHT GOLD was hard ridden aB the way and outstayed AERIAL in the final drive. AERIAL meed into the lead on the last turn, but tired when challenged. CAUBEEN finished close up. RED DOMINO met with early interference. Scratched 13491:Faisan Dore, 110. TETLEY, outpaced in the early running, closed up steadily in the last half and outstayed ATHLONE in the final drive. The latter had no mishaps. AVAR DRIVE quit badly. SAVIRL, away forwardly, took t lie "lead at the eighth post and was bumped by the winner at the sixteenth post, but recovered and, coming again, was gaining at the finish.
