NUCK0LS, JR., NEW ORLEANS STEWARD LEXINGTON", Ky., September 2. Sam C. Xuckols, Jr.. of Versailles, secretary of the Kentucky State Racing Commission, and" one of tlie stewards at the Kentucky Jockey Clubs race meetings, has been named as one of the three stewards for the winter meeting of the Business Mens Racing Association at the New Orleans Fair Grounds. A report from Kcw Orleans is to the effect that the other two stewards will be Joseph A. Murphy of St. Louis and J. B. Campbell of New Orleans. As regards his own employment, Mr. Kuckols, who was here today to attend the Blue Grass Fair, made confirmation of the report, but as to whom his associates in tlie stand will be he had no information to impart, but he did say that he has accepted the appointment with the understanding that the three stewards shall have equal authority, , ,
