TRAINING GALLOPS AT LEXINGTON LEXINGTON", Ky., September 10. Thomas C. McDowells Manager Waite, in preparation for the Lexington Cup Handicap of one and a half miles -with ,000 added, to lie run next Wednesday, this morning worked one and a quarter miles in 2:14t.-. over the Kentucky Jockey Clubs local track. Other candidates for this same stake worked one and an eighth miles as follows: J. T. Irelands Dark Hill in 1:50. W. C. AVeants Ellison in 1:50. C. E. Pattersons Drastic in 1:58. Frank J. Kelleys Brunette II. in 2:00. Waldeck Stables Moscowa in 2:01. Drastic worked easily. Ellison and Moscowa were driven and the others wore cantering at the end. W. V. Traves Minto II., also eligible to this race, worked a mile in 1:40, which was the fastest of the -morning, the next best being Rookerys mile in 1:41. The best three-quarters was 1:13 by Jack Hare Jr., and tiie next best wa 1:13 by Apple Jack. II. Viva America worked five-eighths in 1:0075, and Basil the same distance in 1:01. Other moves at five-eighths were around 1:02 to 1;05. The fastest half mile observed by the watchers was 1:48 by Subaiidar and Miss 1owell.
